She was predeceased by: her husband Dadie S. Gilliland; her parents, Author Sanford and Clara Sanford; her siblings, Herbert Sandford and Merdith Johnson; and her granddaughter Amanda Gilliland Kilgore.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Hayes of Hoover, Rocky Gilliland, Johnny Gilliland and Randy Gilliland of Jasper. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren.
