He was predeceased by: his parents, Mige Rice and Verla Hogan Rice; his son Kenneth D. Rice; and his siblings, Thomas Rice, Edward Rice and Delene Whitman.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Kilgore Rice of Jasper, AL; his children, Becky Wells (Todd) of Jasper, AL and Randy Rice (Alison) of Harvest, AL; his brother Doug Rice of Double Springs, AL; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Beasley (Evan), Tyler Smith, Allaysia Merchant and Austin Merchant; and his great grandchildren, Emily Beasley and Abigail Beasley. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
