He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry Sasser and Irene Love Sasser; his brother Dennis Sasser; and his father-in-law Robert Lee Williams. He is survived by: his wife Angela Sasser; his children, Jonlee Sasser (Kendall) and Taylor Sasser (Carley); his granddaughter Saylor Sasser; his sisters, Patricia McKinney and Frances Snider; and his mother-in-law Sally Williams.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Kilgore-Green Funeral Home (1200 Birmingham Ave, Jasper, AL 35501). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
