He is survived by: his wife LaMerle McVay; his daughters, April McVay and Heidi Hale (Mike); his granddaughter Samantha Rigsby (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Hannah Beth, Kamdon, Wyatt, Aurora Jane, Garrett and Baby Oliver.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital or New Prospect Baptist Church Food Closet.
