He was predeceased by: his wife Carmen; his parents, Dr. Francis Nicholson and Jean; and his brother Tom Nicholson of Jasper, Alabama.. He is survived by: his son Mitch Nicholson; his daughter-in-law Hope; his grandson John Abner of Jasper, Alabama; his daughters, Mary Ann Nicholson of Las Vegas, Nevada and Jeanne Nicholson; his granddaughter Abby; and his son-in-law Ryan Rhoades of Gulf Shores, Alabama..
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the Nicholson Family Scholarship Fund at Walker College Foundation (WCF).
