He was predeceased by: his parents, Lovis Atkins and Bethal Atkins; his sister Billie Gail Atkins; his brothers-in-law, Harold Walton, Wendell Powell, Barry Banks and Ray Hinds; and his in-laws, Grady Townsend and Berta Townsend.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Townsend Atkins; his children, Lisa (Wade O'Mary), Wade (Kim Atkins), Mark (Lisa Atkins) and Mandy (Frankie Williams); his grandchildren, Anna, Mark Prevost II, Sarah, Martin Roberts, Jakob Atkins, Molly Kate Atkins, Travis Atkins, Wyatt Williams and Amelia Jane Williams; his great grandchildren, Mary Ellen Prevost, Mark Alan Prevost III and Lillian Lucille Roberts; his sisters, Bobbie Walton, Peggy Powell, Linda Banks, Judy and Kid Aldridge; his sister-in-law Pat Hinds; and his uncles, Jerry Don (Betty Atkins) and Billy (Hellen Glover). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and special friends.
