He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Edwards and Lillie Edwards; his wife Shirley Edwards; and his children, Delinda Edwards Abercrombie (Keith), Terry Edwards Sanderson (Keith), Jayne Edwards Baker (Phil) and John Edwards (Dale). He was also cherished by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
