She was predeceased by: her husband Walter James "Jimmy" Hood; her son Thomas Ruffin Chatham; and her parents, Edna Ruffin and Durrell Ruffin. She is survived by: her sons, Eddie Chatham, Chad Hood (Deirdre) and Larry Hood (Robyn); and her sister-in-law Rita Loveless. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren.
