It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Morris Studdard Sr. of Jasper, Alabama, who passed away on August 9, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claud Studdard and Marguerite Studdard; his sister Nancy Studdard Freeman; his mother-in-law Essie Kitchens; and his siblings-in-law, Paul and Billie Glaze.

He is survived by: his wife Anita Kitchens Studdard; his children, Vicki S. Whitley (David) and Gordon Morris Studdard, Jr.; his grandchildren, Micah Shumate, Kendra Studdard Cooner (Mason) and Gordon Morris Studdard III (Anntasia); his great grandchildren, Madden and Mills Cooner; and his niece Cindy Rowland.
