He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert P. Phillips and Cora Phillips; and his siblings, Clyde Phillips, Frances Baker Cameron, Ruth Thacker and Alma Bozeman.

He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Phillips of Jasper; his sons, George Randall Phillips of Parrish and Larry Wayne Phillips of Madison, MS; and his sister Dora Gant of Warrior. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren.
