She was predeceased by: her husband Randel D. Smith; her daughter Susan Renae Smith; her parents, Berthie Nix and Mark Nix; and her siblings, Willy Lou Barnes, James, Brady, Joel and William Nix.
She is survived by: her sons, Randel Smith (Nan), Joel Smith (Jenny), Greg Smith (Karen) and Thomas Smith (April); her sister Shirley Dodd; her grandchildren, Kayla Smith, Misty Brown (Anthony), Steven Smith (Ruby), Josh Smith (Erin), Samantha Brown (Chris), Johnathan Smith (Rachel), Hunter Smith, Paige Van Lemput, Brandy Donaldson, Jennifer Kilpatrick and Jason Martin; and her great grandchildren, Savannah Pugh, Bryson Pugh, Adam Hernandez, Natalie Brown, Madilyn Brown, Alonah Brown, Kaia Smith, Nick Smith, Ella Smith, Morgan Valentine, Faith Layfield, Gracie Martin and Titan Kilpatrick.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Collins-Burke Chapel (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504).
