Mote; her parents, Rufus Smith and Nora Smith; her grandmother Viola Page; her siblings, Ralph Smith, Rayford Smith, Ann Uptain and Nell Cooper; her granddaughter Alisha Mote; her children, Charlotte Guthrie and Steve Mote (Cecilia); her sister Betty Ennis (James); her niece Susan Solomon; and her grandchildren, Veronica Vaughn (Will), Whitley Goodson (Frankie) and Allyson Mote.
