He was predeceased by: his wives, Flossie Ella Banks, Geneva Banks and Sylvia Rose Banks; his son Jerry Dee Banks; his parents, Cora McCauley Banks and Greely Banks; his siblings, Lewis, Lacey Banks and Gaynell Banks; and his grandson Scotty McGuff.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Banks, Dewayne Banks (Venise) of Jasper, Shelia McGuff (Larry) and Terrie Jo Banks of Jasper; and his stepchildren, Ricky Lee (Mary) of Birmingham, Phillip Lee (Sherry) of Jasper, Beverly Black of Jasper, Daniel Stewart (Linda) of Jasper, Anita and Christopher of Jasper. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
