Donald Joe Janes Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Joe Janes of Jasper, Alabama, who passed away on August 29, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Cox and Thomas A. Janes Jr.; his former wife Marilynn Gunn Janes; his sons, David Janes and Brian Janes; his siblings, Anna Claire, Bruce Janes, Robert Janes and Tommy Janes; and his grandson Wade Hampton Workmaster Janes.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Gail Ward Janes; his sons, Donald Charles "Chuck" Janes (Candy), Douglas Ethan Janes (Julie) and Russell Thomas "Rusty" Janes (Tecia); his grandchildren, Charles Janes (Ashley), Rachel Stewart (Kyler), Mackenzie Janes, Heidi Lindsey, Jennifer Tatum (Jerom), Amanda Fleming (Brandon), Matthew Janes (Delaney) and Olivia Janes; his great grandchildren, Elisabeth Tatum, David Noles, Celeste Fleming, Meadow Fleming, Carter Stewart, Austin Stewart, Sophia Brown, Aiden Brown, Savannah Lindsey, Shelby Lindsey, Scarlette Lindsey and Seth Lindsey; and his sister Rosemary Janes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the First United Methodist Men's Scholarship fund via First United Methodist Church of Jasper.
