With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Delores Burgess of Jasper, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 9, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Gilmore and Carrie Gilmore; her brother Jerry Gilmore; and her grandparents, Emmitt, Martha Woodley, Mathey and Etta Gilmore.

She is survived by: her husband Charles Calloway; her children, Richard Lynn Moore, Sheila Piper (Darrell) and Felicia Aldridge (Tim); her grandchildren, Erik Piper (Amy), Daniel Piper (Bailey), Jeremy Piper (Hannah), Elisa Maule (David) and Andrew Aldridge; and her sister Reba Mitchell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Bubba's Fund Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
