It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delane O'Rear of Jasper, Alabama, who passed away on August 17, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ebb O'Rear and Nancy O'Rear; and his siblings, Allen, Sanford, Dalton, Rayburn, Wayne, Elladean Morris, Kathleen Johnston and Peggy Rice.

He is survived by: his son Calvin Kluesner of Jasper; his grandchildren, Adam, Brian and Katie; his sisters, NellaJean Godfrey of Jasper and Beverly Ann Cheney of Riverton, Wyoming; and his sisters-in-law, Pauline O'Rear and Florence O'Rear. He is also survived by 5 great-grand children.

Although not required, the family would appreciate masks and social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the mentioned scholarship funds or other worthy causes would be appreciated.

“So sorry to hear of Delane’s passing. Ebb and my grandmother, Tula O’Rear Kilgore were brother and sister. My Mother was Lorene Kilgore Jones. When I was young I use to love to go up on Black Water with Mother and Mama Kilgore to Ebb and Nancy’s to fish in their pond. Delane was two years older than me. You have my sincere sympathy.
