He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Elisha Salter and Mary Willer Salter; his stepmother Addie Ray Salter; and his siblings, Robert Salter of Johnny, William L. Salter, Audrey L. Stevens, Daisy Cornelius and Maschel Salter.
He is survived by: his siblings, Joe T. Salter and Joan Lee.
