He was predeceased by: his former wife Katie Carmichael; his children, Ronnie Carmichael and Janice Carmichael Nix; and his siblings, Betty Sue Walton, Jewel Rogge, Pearl Bonner and Guy Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Lynn Carmichael of Jasper; his children, Debra Ballard of Oakman and Ricky Carmichael (Tina) of Oakman; and his sister Annie Laura Smith of Nashville, TN. He is also survived by 7 Grandchildren; 14 Grandchildren.
