He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Carey (Fike); his sons, Jeff (Angie) and Mike (Christy); his grandsons, James Porter (Dana) and Dustin Carey (Katilyn); his great grandchildren, Joshua, Jaccob Porter and Gunner Carey; his stepgreat-grandsons, Isaiah and Isaac Willcutt; his sister Sue Smith; and his sister-in-law Charlene Carey.
