She was predeceased by: her husband Donal Jones; her parent Thursey Hicks; and her siblings, Oather Hicks, Sidney Ryan Hicks, Oneida King, Derotha Cooner and Dorothy King.
She is survived by: her children, Donna Pettis (Jimmy) and David Jones (Dori); her grandchildren, Matthew Pettis (Jessica), Bethany Faucett (Ben) and Kara Soaper (Troy); and her great grandchildren, Levi Pettis, Hunter Pettis, Madi Faucett, Mia Faucett, Colby Dyson, Dylan Dyson and Malakai Soaper. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church Birmingham, or to the Homewood Church of Christ Hospital Apartment ministry.
