He was predeceased by: his wife Genell Smith; his parents, James Earl Smith and Edith Bessie Sherer Smith; and his sister Roberta Smith Reeves. He is survived by: his children, Renee Smith Henry, Sandi Smith Files (Jerry Arthur Jr.) and George Gregory Smith; his grandchildren, Paul Stanley Panter (Tashina), Nicholas Arthur Files and Haley Blue Files; and his great grandchildren, Shawn Michael Panter and Aaron Bruce Panter.
