She was predeceased by: her husband Giles Will "Billy" Black; her parents, Sam Gardner and Alpha Gardner; her siblings, George Lee Gardner (Carrie Lou), Sammy Gardner (Ocile), Ivah Gardner, Ida Akins (Sherrill) and Mary Tucker (Charles); her grandparents, Green, Deliah Gardner, Hugh and Martha Abel; her son-in-law Larry Hicks; and her brother-in-law Tom Steadman.
She is survived by: her children, Ranae Sargent (Steve), Regina Black-Hicks and Tim Black (Annette); her grandchildren, Tera Edwards (Daniel), April Tucker (Curtis), Jennifer Nuetzel (Eric), Lauren Alkhalifah (Abul), Jonathan Sargent (Capen), Britton Black (Hannah) and Brendan Black (Shelby); and her sister Martha Steadman. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
