He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Hamilton and Willodean Lakey Hamilton; his brother Steve Hamilton; his grandparents, Carroll and Roberta Lakey; and his uncle Michael Lakey.

He is survived by: his friend Gene Reeves; his son Brandon Hamilton (Claire); and his sister Linda Dodd (Jimmy). He is also survived by other relatives and dear friends.
