He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha Middleton; and his parents, Charlie Hershal Middleton and Edna Siler Middleton. He is survived by: his sons, Arthur Lee Middleton, Jr. (Carol) of Fairhope and Billy Joe Middleton of Jasper; and his grandchildren, Mendy Boyd, Matthew Middleton and John Mark Middleton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Samaria Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1365, Jasper, Al 35502.
