He was predeceased by: his parents, Travis Williams and Vinie Garner Williams; and his siblings, Roy Williams of Frank Williams, Y. L, Travis Williams, Verna Mae Criddle, Velma Wall Parker, Pauline Morrison, Mabel Hollingsworth and Jean Myers.

He is survived by: his wife Onzell Williams; and his sons, Earnest Ray Williams, Marshall Williams, Lavon Williams and Greg Williams. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
