He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Edward "Tommy" Burt, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Stacey Burt; his daughters, Candace Watson (Bart), Ashley Irwin, Jenna Michel (Matthew) and Danielle Haynes; his mother Shirley Burt; his sisters, Amy Greenwood and Cheri Finley; and his grandchildren, Bentley, Brooklyn, Liam, Aiden, Elizabeth, Dalton and Cayden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the K. L. Brown Funeral Home & Crematory (322 Nisbet St NW, Jacksonville, AL 36265). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
