He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Smith and Betty Smith; and his brother David Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Sharee Johnson (John) of Spring Garden; his grandchildren, Elsie Chambers and Titus Chambers; his siblings, Brenda Hulsey (Clarence) of Jacksonville, Carol Parris (Johnny) of Jacksonville and Sam Smith (Wanda) of Jacksonville; the mother of his child Denise Smith of Piedmont; his nieces, Michelle Williams (Todd) and Cheryl Hulsey (Brandi); and his nephew Jeff Parris. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
