With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Ruth Popham of Jacksonville, Alabama, born in London, Kentucky, who passed away on September 6, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jackson S. Onkst and Mary Jeffrey Onkst; her husband Harry P. Popham; her stepson Dale A. Popham; her brother Jackson Onkst, Jr.; and her nephew Brian Alan Onkst.
She is survived by: her brother Jeffrey Baxter Onkst; her sister-in-law Sharon Johnson Onkst of Jacksonville, AL; and her nieces and nephews, Peggy Onkst Knapp of Springdale, AR, Tiffany Onkst Mancipinto of Jacksonville, AL, James B. Onkst of Prospect, KY and Bradley E. Onkst of Indianapolis, IN.
Due to the threat of Covid, arrangements for a memorial service at Pittsburgh Cemetery, Pittsburg KY will be announced at a later date.
