He was predeceased by: his son Roger Dale Willingham; his granddaughters, Piper Willingham and Hanna Willingham; and his parents, Forney Willingham and Emma Willingham.
He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Willingham; his children, Rodney Willingham (Ellen), Kim Mullendore (Timothy) and David Willingham (Tonya); and his grandchildren, Corey Cosby, Jason Willingham, Tiffany Martin, Merril Watkins, Grant Willingham and Julia Willingham. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
