She was predeceased by: her parents, T. E. Bailey and Amelia Waters Bailey; her husband Douglas Johnson; her daughter Carol Israel Hays; and her grandson Philip Israel.
She is survived by: her great grandchild Hannah Israel; her sister-in-law Lillie Bailey; her niece Deborah Whatley Lowry; and her sister-in-law Ruth Bailey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
