He is survived by: his sons, Michael Benefield and Daniel Benefield; his stepdaughters, Heidi Smitherman (Brent), Karen Gilbert (Dickey) and Pam Magouyrk (Shawn); his grandchildren, Noah (Buddy), Gracie, Cole, Chase, Aidan and Kenzie; and his sisters, Dianne Padilla (Al) and Rebeca Kutche (Tony).
