With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ellen Ellis of Jacksonville, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 2, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James G. Ellis Sr.; and her son James G. Ellis, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia R. Ellis (David LaFond), Elizabeth Heishman (Mark) and Jane Marie Ellis; her daughter-in-law Lisa Barrett; her sons, Kristopher A. Ellis (Michele) and John D. Ellis; her grandchildren, David LaFond Jr., Thomas Nance, Sarah Nance, Taylor Ellis, Michael Ellis, Rachael Ellis, Chrissy Ellis and Abigail Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Layla Ellis, Oliver Ellis, Savannah Thompson and Vivienne Thompson.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (308 7th St NE, Jacksonville, AL 36265). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the Alabama National Cemetery (3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 308 7th St NE, Jacksonville, AL 36265.
