She was predeceased by: her parents, Winford Theodore and Sarah Margaret Parris McCarley; her husband John Goodwin, Jr.; and her siblings, Terry, Allen, Archie, Larry McCarley, Lucille Rose and Mary Daniel.

She is survived by: her children, Johnny Goodwin and Frankie Anderson (Jerry); her siblings, Edward Joe McCarley (Betty), Jerry McCarley (Gaye), Jean Brown and Edna Stancil; her grandchildren, Brandon Anderson (Laurne), Jeremie Anderson Reed (Jeremy), Seth Mashburn-Goodwin (Sharia) and Tracie Shellhouse (Gene); her great grandchildren, Kaitlin Bartol (Michael), Chip, Faith, Emma Grace Shellhouse, Jace and Torin Goodwin; and her great great grandchildren, Samson and Audrey Bartol. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
