He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon McCluer, Sr. and Mary Irene McCluer; and his siblings, Mary Elizabeth McCluer and John Woodford McCluer. He is survived by: his wife Myrtle "Myrt" Turner McCluer; his children, John McCluer (Catherine), Dana McCluer, Bryan McCluer (Ingrid) and Lynn McCluer; and his grandchildren, Caitlin McCluer, Madeleine McCluer, Magnus McCluer, John McCluer, Jr. and Maddox McCluer.
