He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnia Duncan Holder; his parents, John F. and Addie Holder; and his siblings, Wesley Holder, Chester Holder, Clifford Holder, Bevar Harrelson, Ed Holder, John Shelton Holder, Mildred Clements and Mary Helen Holder.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Colley (Glenn), Sami Nicholas (Blake), Celine Sparks (Scotty) and John Holder; and his sister-in-law Lois Lyon. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a scholarship fund at the West Huntsville church Of Christ, at 1519 Old Monrovia Road NW, Huntsville, AL 35806.
