He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Butler and Dorothy Butler. He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen Wey Butler of Jacksonville; his children, Sammy Butler (Jennifer) of Piedmont and Brandy Butler Walker (Jamie) of Piedmont; his stepson Donald "Dink" Thacker (Kate) of Texas; and his siblings, Michael Butler (Kim) of Georgia and Brenda Ball (Mitch) of Ohatchee. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
