He was predeceased by: his wife Sara "Winnelle" Marsengill; his brother Mike Marsengill; and his parents, Sha Marsengill and Drucillia Marsengill. He is survived by: his children, Susan Brown (David), Lee Ellen Adair (Steve), Lisa Pettit (Marty) and Stephanie Monday (Bryan). He is also survived by his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
