It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Sledge Sowell (Jacksonville, Alabama), who passed away on October 14, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Sowell; her son George Sowell; her parents, Lee Sledge and Kathryn Sledge; and her stepmother Ruth Sledge.

She is survived by: her daughter Katy Sowell Agarwal; her brothers, James Sledge and Webb Sledge of Gadsden; and her friend Janet Brown.
