She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jim" Lyons; her parents, Lee Smith and Evie Smith; her siblings, Mary Frances Owens, Norma "Shug" Parker, Donald "Bubba" Smith, B. F. "Frank" Smith, Renelda Loring and Melvin Smith; and her friend Lurlene Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Bridgett, John (Andra) and Matthew; her grandchildren, Kaitlin Setzer (Ronnie), Dr. James "Jake" Lyons and Nathanael "Nate" Lyons; her great grandchildren, Vickers, John "JP" Callaway and Luna Setzer; and her brother Thomas Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
