He was predeceased by: his former wife Jimmie Lou Copeland; his parents, Julius Copeland and Lillian Copeland; and his siblings, Harold Copeland, Donald Copeland and Christine Bryant.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Relfe Copeland; his daughters, Elise Craig (Barry) and Amy Copeland; his stepchildren, Mack Griffin (Rina), Massey Griffin (Brittany) and Evelyn Collins (Trevor); and his grandchildren, Anna Elise Craig, Claire Craig and Perry Collins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jacksonville First United Methodist Church.
