He was predeceased by : his wife Angela Kirk (Angie); his parents, Carolyn McGee of Anniston and Ormond Kirk of Moultrie, Georgia; his brother Joseph O. Kirk of Texas; and his son-in-law Joey Cooper.

He is survived by : his daughters, Kathy Cooper, Paula Johnson (Christopher) and Jamie Nally (Shannon); his grandchildren, Joseph Glenn Cooper II, Kodi Nally (Taylor), Ciara Turner (Casey), Cheyane Wyant (Chance) and Briana D'Andrea (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Corbin, Anslee, Ronnie, Noah, Keegan, Kash, Westland, Keller, Koral and Jovie; his siblings, Teresa Hayes (Mark), Kenneth Kirk (Keitha), Brian Kirk (Jamie) and Patrick Kirk (Lisa); his sister-in-law Julie Blair; and his grandchildren, Ciara Turner (Casey), CorbinGreat, AnsleeGreat, RonnieGreat, NoahGreat, KeeganGreat, KashGreat, WestlandGreat, KellerGreat, KoralGreat and JovieGreat. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Gray Brown Service Mortuary (1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, AL 36201). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, June 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
