It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Courtney Elizabeth Maurer (Jacksonville, Alabama), born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on January 26, 2023, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Alva Carl Taylor; and her grandparents, Morton, Burnice Carl, Sam and Jodie Camariotes.
She is survived by: her significant other John Maurer III; her father Jack Camariotes; her stepmother Rhonda Camariotes; and her kitties, Bama, Dex-Starr and Ellie. She is also survived by her aunts and uncles, numerous cousins, and innumerable friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials for the nursery fund may be made in Courtney's name to West Side Baptist Church, 713 Mountain St. NW, Jacksonville, Alabama 36265.
