We are sad to announce that on December 30, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Calvin Lackey Sr. of Jacksonville, Alabama. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Dewey Lackey and Charlsie S. Lackey; his siblings, Richard, Horace "Buck", John, Evelyn Jones, Ruby Medel, Doris Arrona and Kathleen Bailey; and his close friend Dr. Thomas E. Bridges.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Young Lackey of Jacksonville; and his children, Charlsie Arlene Lackey of Tuscaloosa, Elizar Lackey of Coldwater and Calvin Lackey Jr. (Erin) of Weaver. He is also survived by two granddaughters; two grandsons; two great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current pandemic and Mr. Lackey's request, a quiet, private burial was held on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Forestlawn Gardens in Golden Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to SouthernCare New Beacon Hospice of Gadsden, 412 South 5th Street, Gadsden, Alabama, 35901.
