He was predeceased by: his wives, Betty Lou Goodwin and Patricia Goodwin; his parents, Henry Goodwin and Dovie Goodwin; his siblings, J. C. Goodwin, Olene Mintz, Gladys Weldon, Ruth Burns, Minnie Couch and Etta Jenkins; his daughter-in-law Page Goodwin; his brothers-in-law, Jerry Whitten and Rev. Dewayne Borders; and his son-in-law Terry Curvin.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Curvin (Terry), Jeffery Goodwin (Kellie), Barry Goodwin (Angela), Greg Goodwin (Cindy) and Mark Goodwin (Doni); his siblings-in-law, Shelby Whitten, Dianne Borders and Roger Borders; and his grandchildren, Tasha Kilgore (Brandon), Jordan Goodwin (Brooke), Mitchell Goodwin, Millie Lentz (Davidson), Allison Williams (Cole), Heather Wallace (Samuel), Morgan Barker (Chris), Aidan Goodwin, Kristen Boozer, Kara Boozer and Kohl Boozer (Monique). He is also survived by 11 Great-Grandchildren.
