He was predeceased by: his parents, Cumbie Ransome and Annie Mae Dean Ransome; his brother James Ransome; and his son-in-law Clinton Knowles. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Ransome of Jacksons Gap; his children, Mamie Lee Knowles of Jacksons Gap and Samuel C. Ransome (Connie) of Alexander City; his grandchildren, Clint Knowles (Elizabeth), Samuel Jason Knowles (Amy), Meagan K. Bailey (Robert) and Joshua James Ransome (Sheri); his great grandchildren, Samuel Nathan Ransome, John Tyler Ransome, Gabirel Wynn Knowles (Jen), Michael Ashton Knowles (Breanne), Elizabeth Brianne Gann (Hayden), Kayden Elisabeth Knowles, Logan Samuel Knowles, Samuel Jayse Bailey and Christopher Jaxson Bailey; and his great great grandchild Aiden James Gann.
