It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Robinson Ransome of Jacksons Gap, Alabama, who passed away on June 15, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Chandler Robinson and Mamie Kate Cushing Robinson; her husband Samuel Ransome; her siblings, Annie Jean Yarbrough, Mamie Ruth Guy, Delilah Rachel Lee Smith, J. C. Robinson, James Wessie Robinson, Joseph Timmons Robinson, Thomas Willard Robinson, Jimmy Robinson and Julius Robinson; and her son-in-law Gary Clinton Knowles.
She is survived by: her children, Mamie Lee Knowles of Jacksons Gap and Samuel Clyde Ransome (Connie) of Alexander City; her grandchildren, G. Clint Knowles (Elizabeth), Samuel Jason Knowles (Amy), Meagan K. Ogletree and Joshua James Ransome (Sheri); her great grandchildren, Gabriel Wynn Knowles (Jen), Michael Ashton Knowles (Breanne), Elizabeth Brianne Gann (Hayden), Samuel Nathan Ransome, John Tyler Ransome, Kayden Elisabeth Knowles, Logan Samuel Knowles, Samuel Jayse Bailey and Christopher Jaxson Bailey; her great great grandchild Aiden James Gann; and her sisters, Ora Dessa Mallory and Laurel Elsie Hendrix (Raymond). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
