He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Ann Simon Dean of Jackson; his children, Gaynor Dean Lewis (Alvin) of Copperas Cove, Vincent Dean of Jackson, Stephanie Dean McReynolds (Anthony) of Jackson, Steven Dean (Telecia) of Jackson and Terrance Dean (Ebony) of Copperas Cove, Texas; his siblings, Helen Pettway (Donald) of Des Plaines, Ill and Ethel Lee Dean of Jackson; his siblings-in-law, Melvadean Dean of Mobile, Margaret Simon of Brockton, Mass., Marie Bankston (Billy) of Jamaica, N. Y., Marilyn Berry (Johnny) of Walker Springs and Barry DeLeon (Wanda) of Irmo, S. C.; and his close friend Abraham Kimbell. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
