She was predeceased by: her parents, Denton Thomas and Mabel Taylor Waite; and her siblings, Gerald "Curly" Waite and Ann Beard. She is survived by: her husband Dr. Bobby R. Beard; her sons, Dr. Stanley Beard (Marsha) of Jackson and Kerry Beard (Jill) of Point Clear; her grandchildren, Dent Beard (Kayla), Tyler, Kade, Kali Beard and William Taylor; her great grandchildren, Blaise and Stanton Beard; and her sister Clariece Sparrow of Butler. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Jackson (214 College Ave, Jackson, AL 36545). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Trinity Memorial Gardens (1601 Walker Springs Rd, Jackson, AL 36545).
