He is survived by: his children, Brooke Parnell (Eric), Corey Thompson (Elizabeth), Joel Thompson Jr. (Alyssa), Kristen Weaver (Brent) and Emma Wilson; his grandchildren, Landen Cummings, Drake Parnell, Slade Parnell, Aubrey Weaver, Kyler Weaver, BJ Weaver and Leighton Thompson; his siblings, Michael Thompson, Tony Thompson, Marsha Anderson, Sandra Weaver (Scott) and Linda Beech (Ray); and his son Tony Criswell. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
