With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frankie Gibson of Jackson, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Frankie Gibson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Frank and Lula McGilberry; her husband Windle R. "Bob" Gibson; her son Donald Gibson; and her siblings, Mary Maness, Katie Butler, Lottie Harris, Zula Porter, Mendy Evans, Flave McGilberry and Ear Mae Westbrook.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary "Sissie" Grant (Rick); her sister Ann Riggins; her sister-in-law Evelyn Gibson; her grandchildren, Heather Richardson (Will), Ross Henderson (Brittany), Thomas Gibson (Lauren), Stephen Gibson, Robert Grant (Leah) and Ricky Grant; her great grandchildren, Harper Henderson, Charlie Henderson, Wood Richardson, Caroline Richardson, Anne Catherine Richardson, Jackson Gibson, Parker Gibson, Payton Gibson, Levi Grant, Adela Grant, Caleb Grant, Thomas Gibson, Wray Gibson and Oakley Gibson; and her close friends, Annie Carroll and Marie Smith. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lathan Funeral Home (1867 US-43, Jackson, AL 36545). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Trinity Memorial Gardens (1601 Walker Springs Rd, Jackson, AL 36545).
